Monadnock Paper Mills releases 2025 Corporate Sustainability Report

Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc., the oldest continuously operating paper mill in the US, has released its 2025 Corporate Sustainability Report, Momentum: Building on Our Legacy to Create a More Sustainable Future.

The report details progress across responsible manufacturing, operational efficiency, fiber-based product innovation, employee engagement, and community responsibility.  

“Continuity does not mean standing still,” says Andrew Manns, president and CEO of Monadnock Paper Mills. “It means building on our foundation while maintaining the agility to evolve. Our 2025 progress reflects the dedication of our employees, the strength of our partnerships, and our continued commitment to creating sustainable fiber-based solutions for a changing world.”

That progress included expanding Monadnock’s portfolio of renewable, fiber-based alternatives to single-use plastics with several new solutions, including TÜV-certified Compostable Card, Harvest Envi PC 100 Performance Board and Blockout Carrier.

The new materials span signage, packaging and card applications, reflecting Monadnock’s focus on pairing material performance with more responsible fiber-based options. 

Across its operations, Monadnock also continued to reduce waste, increase the use of post-consumer recycled fiber, and invest in energy and water efficiency improvements. The company also continued to generate renewable electricity through its onsite hydroelectric facility.

This broader sustainability progress was also recognized with an EcoVadis Platinum rating for the second consecutive year, placing the company among the top 1% of more than 90,000 companies evaluated worldwide. Monadnock was also inducted into the International Green Industry Hall of Fame.

Beyond its environmental and operational efforts, the report highlights the company’s Green Team and Community Action Teams, its partnership with Monadnock Worksource, and employee support for local food drives, career fairs, health initiatives, veterans, and other community programs.
